Things to See and Do in Tampa Florida

A trip to Tampa Florida will make for a fun-filled family vacation. The city is home to a variety of attractions and activities. Busch Gardens is a must-see, and Adventure Island is a water park filled with daring drops and wading pools. The Tampa Museum of Art and the nearby Glazer Children’s Museum are also great destinations for family outings. Visit Tampa Bay for more ideas. And if you’re looking for a unique cultural experience, check out the Ybor City area.
Ybor City

Ybor City is known for its boutiques, vintage shops, and Latin American and Cuban restaurants on 7th Avenue. There is also a wide range of indie fast food, bars, and cinemas in the Centro Ybor mall. The Ybor City State Museum is housed in a 1920s bakery and has exhibits on the city’s cigar industry. The GaYBOR district attracts a diverse crowd.

In addition to the historic office district, Ybor City is home to a wide variety of nightclubs, attracting party-goers from Tampa Bay and beyond. Ybor’s nightlife is complemented by local art galleries and glass shops. If you want to catch a headline act, head to Crowbar or Orpheum. Alternatively, if you’re seeking a smaller show, try Columbia Restaurant, where flamenco shows are offered for $6. In addition to live music, you can catch drag queen bingo at Hamburger Mary’s and stand-up comedy at Tampa Improv.

Busch Gardens

If you’re looking for an African-themed animal theme park, consider visiting Busch Gardens Tampa Florida. The 335-acre park is owned by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment and draws more than 4 million visitors annually. It’s often ranked as the second-best SeaWorld park after its Orlando counterpart. For those who haven’t visited yet, here are some things you should know before you go. You may find yourself there again!

While Busch Gardens doesn’t have on-site hotels, there are plenty of options in the North Tampa area. Many hotels have partnered with Busch Gardens, which means they offer discounted tickets and shuttle service to and from the park. The closest hotels are the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa-USF-Busch Gardens and the Embassy Suites Tampa USF/Near Busch Gardens. Guests can also find hotels near Busch Gardens that offer complimentary shuttle service.

University of South Florida Botanical Gardens

The University of South Florida Botanical Gardens are a must-see attraction in Tampa, Florida. This greenbelt-and-gardens complex features seven acres of developed gardens and six to nine acres of natural greenbelt. Visitors can enjoy both the natural beauty and the beautiful plants and flowers, as well as the many species of birds and other animals that call Florida home. The gardens have been developed to educate the public about the importance of plants and wildlife in the world.

The USF Botanical Gardens in Tampa, Florida offers a ten-acre landscaped area where you can explore tropical plants, orchids, begonias, and a variety of butterflies. Not only does this horticultural exhibit represent Florida’s botanical heritage, but it also serves an educational purpose for the younger generation. The Florida Aquarium

The Florida Aquarium is a 501 (c)(3) organization and a publicly operated institution located in Tampa, Florida. This 250,000-square-foot public aquarium is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. There are a variety of exhibits at the Florida Aquarium, including sharks, sea turtles, and more. Families will enjoy learning about all of the different animals on display and touching live specimens.

The Aquarium’s displays are focused on the journey of water through the ocean, from the shallows to the ocean. The aquarium has a variety of exhibits that focus on Florida wildlife, including a touch tank filled with live rays. Among its other exhibits is a 500,000-gallon coral reef community. The aquarium also has three touch pools and an interactive exhibit called Journey to Madagascar. The Florida Aquarium also hosts a number of events and camps.
The Big Cat Rescue

The Big Cat Rescue (BCR) is a nonprofit animal sanctuary in Hillsborough County, Florida, where it rescues native wild cats and exotic cats. Formerly known as Wildlife on Easy Street, Inc., this organization helps native wild cats rehabilitate after they become injured or lost. Founded in 1992, The Big Cat Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational sanctuary for big cats in the United States. The sanctuary is home to over 80 big cats and is a part of a global effort to end big cat abuse. Visitors can observe the cats in their natural habitats and learn more about their lives at Big Cat Rescue. If you’re in the Tampa Bay area, visit the sanctuary to see these magnificent animals.
