Great Things to Do in Tampa Florida

A visit to Tampa Florida will not be complete without a trip to Busch Gardens. If you are a family with children, you can take them to Busch Gardens as well. There are also other great things to do in Tampa, such as visiting the University of South Florida Botanical Gardens or the Weedon Island Preserve. Busch Gardens

Located in Tampa, Florida, Busch Gardens is a 335-acre African-themed animal theme park. Owned by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, the park has an annual attendance of over 4 million people, and is usually ranked as the second most popular SeaWorld park after the Orlando park. Guests of Busch Gardens Tampa Florida can expect to see a variety of animals in an environment where the animals are treated with respect and dignity.

This theme park is home to hundreds of animals, including flamingos and macaws. The park also features a variety of walk-through exhibits and rides, including the Aviary and the Adolphus Busch Space Frame. Aside from the rides, guests can enjoy other fun activities at the park. The Old Swiss House is a replica of a famous Lucerne restaurant. The park also offers a variety of live performances.
The University of South Florida Botanical Gardens

Located on the University of South Florida campus in Tampa, Florida, the University of South Floridia Botanical Gardens are seven acres of developed gardens and six to nine acres of natural greenbelt. The gardens are perfect for family outings and are sure to be a pleasant place for all ages to spend a beautiful afternoon. There are lots of plants, trees, and shrubs that will attract all ages.

Weedon Island Preserve

Weedon Island is an archeological site located in Pinellas County, Florida. It is located on the western shore of Old Tampa Bay, in the northern part of St. Petersburg. The island is of archaeological importance, serving as a type site for the Weeden Island Culture. Weedon Island was home to a variety of cultural remains dating from the earliest days of the American settlement.

The 3,190-acre preserve consists of both upland and aquatic ecosystems. Numerous native species can be found in the preserve. Visitors can enjoy its educational facilities, rich cultural history, and numerous wildlife species. You can spend your day birding or exploring this preserve’s wildlife. The Tampa Bay History Center

If you’re interested in the history of Tampa, Florida, then a trip to the Tampa Bay Hisory Center is in order. Exhibits cover everything from native peoples to Spanish conquistadors and historical figures who shaped Tampa Bay’s history. You’ll even get to see a replica of a 1920s cigar store! While you’re there, don’t forget to grab a cigar.

For an educational experience, check out the Tampa Bay History Center, which is located in the heart of the city’s Riverwalk. The Tampa Bay History Center contains three floors of exhibits covering over 12,000 years of Florida’s history. The Touchton Map Library, for example, is the only cartographic center in the southeastern United States, featuring more than 8,000 original maps and documents from the discovery of the New World. If you’re interested in African slave culture, check out the Coacoochee exhibit. You’ll also be able to learn more about the history of slavery in Tampa, from the beginnings of the city to the establishment of the Spanish.
Major league baseball spring training facilities

While visiting one of the major league baseball spring training facilities in Tampa, Florida, you can’t miss the New York Yankees. These World Series champs have won more World Series than any other MLB franchise. Not only are they loaded with star players on their active roster, but the team has a strong history. Prospects such as Albert Abreu, Estevan Florial, and Jonathan Loaisiga will also be on your radar.

There are many reasons to attend spring training in Tampa. The Rays split their spring schedule between two facilities. They play a home game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. The Toronto Blue Jays hold spring training in Dunedin. The Philadelphia Phillies have been coming to the city since 1948 and have a storied history there. Major league baseball teams in Tampa

Tampa, Florida, home to the Astros, is one of the smallest states in the nation with MLB teams. However, this does not mean the region lacks professional baseball teams. The city has two professional baseball teams: the Tampa Bay Rays and Arizona Diamondbacks. Each team plays in a different league. Typically, baseball games last from early April to late October. The season is six days long, and teams play six days a week. The Rookie league starts in June. In early July, play-offs are held between the top teams with the most wins. Spring Training begins in February.

The area is also home to numerous minor league, spring training, and amateur baseball teams. Tampa and St. Petersburg, both in Florida, have long been vying for a Major League Baseball franchise. In fact, the former began construction of Florida Suncoast Dome in 1987 with hopes of attracting a team to the area. Tampa also competed for a baseball franchise in the 1980s. It was a short-lived effort, but the city eventually won the bid and constructed the Florida Suncoast Dome.
